What is “Underrated” about?
How come there are several posts on one movie and only one post on other movies?

Why was this Web site created?
The Internet has a growing trend of people bad-mouthing things… especially movies. Everyone wants to be the first to say that something “sucks” and if enough Internet postings saying a movie is bad, readers begin to believe a movie is bad. (For example, the growing trend of hating the Star Wars movies… including the original movie trilogy.) I’m not saying people don’t have a right to dislike a movie, but there are just too many negative reviews out there. So, this site was created in order to address movies that aren’t as bad as people remember, or that were maybe not given the credit that they deserve, or that people haven’t seen in awhile and should see again.

What do I consider to be “fun” movies?
I love movies. I like almost every type of movie. However, I really like movies that I have fun watching. This could be any type of movie. I especially enjoy horror, science fiction, superhero movies, and some fantasy movies. However, almost any movie can be “fun,” if it’s done well. So, I also tend to enjoy some family movies, romantic comedies, etc. So, when I created this Web site, I had in mind that I would address any movie that I found fun. Sometimes it’ll fall into a specific category that I’ll make into an on-going series, such as Creepy Kids’ Movies and Underrated movies, but I may make comments on any other type of movie that I feel I have something to say about.

Is this a movie review site?
Yes… and no. There are so many movie review sites, why should I add one more. So, my intention is to try to address movies that people should see (or see again). In “Creepy Kids’ Movies,” I’m going to address movies geared toward kids or families (and are generally considered “family films”), but that have scenes (if not the whole movie) that are scary, dark and, basically, creepy. Those posts will generally describe a scene (or the whole movie) and then try to explain why those scenes/movies are creepy. In “Underrated,” I’m going to address movies that tend to be overlooked or looked down upon, but are better than they get credit for (in my opinion). However, rather than just a standard movie review, I’m going to point out what I felt worked and what didn’t work, what could’ve been done better, why the movie gets a bad rap, and what makes the movie underrated. In addition, I will make random posts about more recent movies (and maybe even some television shows) or anything movie-related being talked about. So, I hope to not have the standard reviews here and attempt to approach fun movies from other angles. However, this site is still evolving… so who knows what’ll turn out to be.

Creepy Kids Movies is an ongoing compilation of film titles that tend to be thought of as “kids movies,” or “family films,” but that have elements in them that tend to be scary, unsettling, disturbing, dark and… well… creepy. I explained a little about this category above, but for a more in-depth description, and a list of the movies and scenes I’ve examined, please click here.

There are a lot of posts are about “Creepy Kids’ Movies.” Is that what the site is all about?
No. Since the site is still in its infancy, the majority of my posts are currently about “Creepy Kids’ Movies.” However, I hope to be including other posts soon, including reviews of “Underrated” movies, as well as random posts about other fun movies. I described this a little more above.

Underrated Reviews is an attempt to post a series of reviews dealing with movies that maybe didn’t live up to the hype or tended to be unjustly badmouthed on the Internet. I explained a little about this category above, but for a more in-depth description and a list of the movies I’ve reviewed, please click here.

Why are there several posts on one movie and one post on others?…
There is a reason for this. The short answer is that I originally created a Web site on one of those free Web site creator sites, but limitations caused me to expand on some articles because the site only allowed me to attach one picture/movie per page. When I eventually scrapped the Web site, I created this blog and moved the articles here. Instead of condensing what I had written or rewriting them, I just posted them as separate posts. Then, for some of the new posts I created, I just wrote it as one post, rather than several, as well as wrote other posts using the older multiple-post format.
As I move forward, I may just use one post per movie to describe certain scenes… or maybe not. Who knows? This site is still fairly new and is still evolving. So, please bear with me.

Thank you and please enjoy….
